Derek S. Anderson

My Story

Derek joined the Broehl Law Office in summer 2021 while in law school, then joined the firm as an Associate Attorney in April 2022 after passing the Ohio Bar Exam and receiving his law license. Mr. Anderson practices in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, Medicaid planning, corporate and business law, including business formation, succession plans, and contracts, as well as personal injury law.

Mr. Anderson, a native of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, earned his Juris Doctorate degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Akron School of Law in December of 2021, then passed the Ohio Bar Examination in Spring of 2022. During Law School, Derek participated in the Law School’s Expungement and Certificate of Qualification for Employment Clinics, where he helped individuals obtain employment clearance certificates from local judges and helped individuals apply for expungement of criminal records. Derek also clerked for the office of Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Cassandra Collier-Williams. Derek graduated, cum laude, from Albion College in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Derek enjoys traveling, exercising, and spending time with his dog.
